Coming off of a Champion’s League win, Liverpool had a pretty low key summer with signing youth players Sepp Van Den Berg and Harvey Elliott. Despite no signings that enormously strengthen the squad and a preseason with checkered results, Liverpool is still a favorite to win the league. With Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Joe Gomez fit again and Naby Keita having a full year to acclimate to the league, Liverpool undoubtedly will be title contenders.

Norwich is coming in after finishing first in the Championship. They had a largely successful preseason and this summer strengthened their midfield with the signing of Ibrahim Amadou. However, Norwich is expected to struggle in the Premier League and will likely face relegation by the end of the season.

This matchup is heavily in Liverpool's favor. Though they conceded 4 goals in their last meeting, the strengthening of the defensive line with Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker, they are sure to maintain a clean sheet. The front three of Mohammad Salah, Roberto Firmino, and Sadio Mane had the longest breaks over the summer with their participation if the African Cup of Nations and the Copa America respectively. However, the back line of Norwich will still be hard pressed to keep them at bay.

Football and soccer are back with new seasons ladies and gentlemen. And, we're back too.
