Spurs have a problem and nobody has really figured out how to fix it yet. In their last five games, they dropped points against Southampton, Norwich, and Chelsea. While there are some signs of improvement since manager Jose Mourinho has come in, such as the resurrection of Dele Alli's career, they still haven't seemed to click. Spurs have undoubtedly been impeded by the injuries of goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and leftback Danny Rose as their replacements Gazzaniga and Aurier leave a lot to be desired. Spurs are also facing an extended outage for Harry Kane after tearing his hamstring at St. Mary's Park on the 1st of January.

Liverpool have been an unstoppable force. They are still undefeated in the league this season and are far and away the best team in England and arguably the best in the world. Liverpool have had a chance to rest their full first team squad after fielding a team largely made up of U-23 players in the FA Cup match victory against local rivals Everton. They should be raring to go and take one step closer to winning the league title for the first time in 30 years.

Mourinho will likely set up to play for a draw despite playing at home and perhaps take advantage of a mistake by Liverpool, if it presents itself, with the skill and pace of Heung-Min Son. Mourinho did this most notably in the 2013-14 season with Chelsea, derailing Liverpool's title race under Brendan Rogers. While this Spurs team is nowhere near as defensively sound as Chelsea was in that season, especially with the meme status of Serge Aurier, it should still present a challenge for Liverpool. However, this season Jurgen Klopp has done significant work to improve Liverpool's effectiveness against defensively-minded teams and Liverpool have scored in every game this season.

We can expect Liverpool to take full advantage of a weakened and unsettled Spurs side and come away with their first win at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
